New Team Vice President: Catherine Magler

UVU Women’s Hockey is pleased to announce our Team Vice President for the 2018/2019 season: Catherine Magler!

Catherine is originally from Western Wisconsin but moved to Utah to pursue a degree in Mechatronics Engineering Technology at UVU. She says she is greatly enjoying living in Utah so far!

Catherine has been playing hockey for about ten years and when not on the ice she enjoys baking, hiking, and playing card games with her roommates.  She is hard-working, dependable, and has a great attitude both on and off the ice.

We are excited to have you as our new VP Catherine!

Kayla Trujillo Commits to UVU

UVU Women’s Hockey has received a commitment from forward Kayla Trujillo for the team’s 2018-19 inaugural season.

Trujillo is from Pueblo West, Colorado and most recently played for Franklin Pierce University.  She will sport #14 and will be a sophomore seeking a degree in Accounting.

UVU Women’s Hockey is excited to have Kayla on the team and can’t wait to see her skill on the ice sporting the Wolverine.

New Team President: Emily Merrill

UVU Women’s Hockey is pleased to announce our team president for the 2018/2019 season: Emily Merrill!

Emily is a local player from Spanish Fork, Utah. She is an Exercise and Sports Science major at Utah Valley University and plans to be a weightlifting and sports performance coach when she graduates.

Emily is a powerhouse defenseman and an amazing athlete who has been given the nickname “killer” on the ice. But off the ice she is kind, hard-working, and responsible. Her hockey talent and leadership skills combine to make her a perfect fit for this position.
